SANSOM PLACE EAST

Ground Floor Commons Area
Open to all residents

The common areas in Sansom East are always busy, with people quietly studying, hanging out, perusing the latest additions to the Community Bookshelf in the Nichols Lounge, working in the Computer ResLab, watching a movie, or shooting a game of pool in the Blue Room!

 
Nichols Lounge: Formerly known as the "New Lounge", the space is bright, airy, and always open. Here you will find the Sansom East Community Bookshelf. Feel free to donate your old magazines or books for others to use and pick up something for yourself while you are at it!

PLEASE NOTE!: Access to the Commons Area for wheelchair users is through the New Lounge. Please do not block the doors with furniture!

Michael Murray Lounge A large room used for public events, the Red Room comes equipped with numerous couches and tables, bathrooms and kitchen. The room is available to residents on a reservation-only basis. YOU are responsible for clean-up after any event! To reserve this space visit our online reservation system.

Blue Room The Sansom Place Recreation Room, featuring a large-screen community TV with cable, a foos-ball game and pool table! Sign out recreation equipment at your building's Information Center. You'll need to show your PennCard.

Piano Room The Sansom Place community piano room is located in room 102 of Sansom East. This room semi-sound-proof room is open days and evenings, as posted. Sign out the key at the Sansom East Information Center.

Quiet Study Rooms The Quaker Room in the common area of Sansom Place East, as well as Rooms 1101 and 1102 are open 24 hours a day for quiet study. No key is required.

Plaza Deck This great outdoor, featuring three barbeque grills, tables, and chairs, maybe be reserved at the Sansom Place East Information Center.

SANSOM PLACE WEST

The Sansom Place West first-floor lobby features a TV.

In addition to the first floor lobby, Sansom Place West has lounges on floors 3, 6, and 14:

3rd Floor Lounge. Open 24 hours a day for quiet study. No key is required.

6th & 14th Floor Lounges Open 10am to 10pm for group interaction, these lounges also feature microwaves for your use. Reserve the space in advance and pick up the keys at the Sansom West Information Center. The 14th floor lounge has a pool table and T.V. for your use.
