ACTIVITIES

PROGRAMMING. Participation in Sansom Place programs is a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends. Offered by Sansom Advisors, ICS staff, and your neighbors over the course of the year, these programs cater to a broad range of interests. The SCS staff strongly respect your right to privacy, and the decision to participate in a program or event is entirely up to you. At the same time, we strongly encourage you to attend programs to help make Sansom Place a vital, active living community. Check out the online Calendar of Events to see what is going on this month!


HAVE AN IDEA? We encourage residents to help initiate programming including study breaks, support groups, workshops, and social events. If you would like to get involved in your community, or if you have a good idea you'd like to voice:
  • See an SA about your brainstorms. He/she will be glad to lend assistance, and might be able to help fund your programming ideas
  • Talk about the program with fellow Sansom Place residents to find others with similar interests who might help and/or participate.
  • Reserve space for your activity through our website.
  • Read the Newsletter and your floor's bulletin boards to keep informed about Sansom Place activities.
  • Send an email to ourplace@pobox.upenn.edu or click here to fill in an online suggestion form.

    SUGGESTION BOX. Please use the suggestion boxes located near the Information Center of each lobby to let us know your ideas for building activities and events! If you'd like to help develop the idea, leave your name and contact information as well!

    JOIN THE FUN! -- PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
    Every month the website will showcase an events calendar packed with information on upcoming programs! The Penn community and guests are welcome at each event. The SA's host a multitude of wonderful events each month. Here's a list of some of our past programs:

    • Welcome to Penn parties
    • Phillies Baseball Game
    • Trips to the University Museum
    • Visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art
    • Volunteering at a local soup kitchen
    • NCAA basketball Finals; Ice Skating Party
    • Stress Management Workshops
    • Walking tours of Philadelphia
    • Cooking Classes and Aerobics Instruction
    • Potlucks Dinners, Building Barbeques
    We encourage you to get out and attend these exciting and varied offering, and, again, if you have any ideas or suggestions, talk to an SA!
